Google Public DNS

Google has again added another service in its bucket. This time Google has targeted the DNS service (Domain Name Server). It has called it Google Public DNS and currently it is still under Google Code mode (or can say testing/beta mode). So, before trying this new service better you read the reviews. They have offered the service to anyone and everyone.

To use the service you have to just configure your network settings to point to the Google Public DNS server IPs. Following are the Google Public DNS server IPs

  • 8.8.8.8
  • 8.8.4.4

Before modifying your network settings, make sure you backup the current settings.

For detailed configuration steps you can go to “Using Google Public DNS“.
