More reasons to buy Mac

Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac
Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac

I have been a fan of all Apple products for their style, compactness and performance. Apple has always been a step ahead from its competitors in every manner. Apple product configurations are better than its competitors in every section.

Parallels has launched a new version of their desktop virtualization product for Mac, Parallels Desktop 3.0, which seems marvellous after looking its demo. You can watch the demo online here. But this comes for a price of $79.99, which seems fine for the Mac users. Mac based products never come for a small amount.

Microsoft does also provide a similar kind of product, Microsoft Virtual PC, which is also free of cost but does not provide the kind of integration Parallels Desktop promises.

Apple iPhone 3G vs Google Android G1

I don’t think after gathering the following information, I require to explain anything further. Both Apple iPhone 3G and Google Android G1 are launched few time back and would be missing some software features and applications if compared to the applications on other developed handhelds and smartphones. But if you ask me, these software features can be added later anytime by upgrading the firmware. What really matters is the hardware which according to me Apple iPhone has better than the G1. But, Google Android is only focusing only on the OS for which device needs to be developed by the mobile manufacturers.

iPhone 3G Experience

iPhone 3G
iPhone 3G

I bought my first Apple product, i.e. Apple iPhone 3G. I was the second person to buy the iPhone 3G from Hyderabad’s Airtel showroom when it launched in India on 22 August, 2008. I preferred for a black 16GB handset, simply magnificant in the first look. I should say Apple has a class of style for every thing. However it was Rs.5,100 extra from the base 8GB model (8GB for Rs.31,000 and 16GB for Rs.36,100), but I have always preferred a better configuration in gadgets.

It’s already been around 1 month I have used it and I had come the following conclusion

Points to avoid

  • Short battery life (Might be I am using push mail).
  • Higher cost (But at least no additional monthly commitments).

Points to go for it

  • Big storage.
  • iPod.
  • Light and sleek.
  • Best User Interface.
  • Lots of free applications at one single place, i.e. App Store.
  • Last but not least………………………it’s Apple after all.
Well to be true, I am satisfied with it.
I will keep posting about my experience of iPhone 3G.
